Every year in the month of May, CMS has participated in Give STL Day, which is a day of philanthropy organized by the St. Louis Community Foundation. We will be participating again this year.
All money raised will go toward CMS’ Tuition Assistance Fund, which will allow us to provide extra support for CMS families who have been affected by this global pandemic.
This year there will be two days of giving: #GiveTuesdayNow on May 5 and the traditional Give STL Day on May 7. Check out our profile on the Give STL website! We will keep our families updated of our progress through the Weekly Notes and on Social Media.
There are lots of fun prizes and games happening on May 7 that can help us to “double our dough!”
Early Giving Prize: Any nonprofit that receives any scheduled donations on May 7th will be entered into a random prize drawing for a $500 prize. Donors can schedule their donations April 6-May 6.
First and Last Donations Prize: The first nonprofit to receive a donation at 12AM on May 7 and the last nonprofit to receive a donation at 12AM on May 8 will be awarded a $500 prize.
Plus, there are Hourly Prizes and Power Hours too!
We very much hope that you will donate to help support our families.
Important note: The CARES Bill is allowing non-itemizers take up to a $300 above-the-line charitable income tax deduction for cash donations made in 2020. Above-the-line deduction reduces your adjusted gross income, which can then mean you qualify for other tax breaks!
